Known for its warm winds and wildlife abound, Dubois is located in the Wind River Mountains you can enjoy the panoramic mountain, river and lake views. There is plenty to do in this quaint cowboy town any time of year. Summer activities include UTV and Jeep trails, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, Tuesday night Square Dancing at the Rustic Pine Tavern, Friday Night Rodeo and more! Winter activities include Snowmobiling, Back-county Skiing, Cross-Country Skiing, and Snowshoeing. The town has restaurants, downtown shops, grocery store, gas stations, laundromat, bowling ally and arcade, museum and is home to the National Museum of Military Vehicles.

All of our cabins are located next to Shoshone National Forest with 2.4 million acres of wilderness including 1,300 miles of trails to explore. Ride your UTV or Snowmobile right from the cabin. UTV and Snowmobile tours and rentals are also available at a discount from Union Pass Rentals when you stay with us.

Big Diamond Ranch Cabins

Located 12 miles West of Dubois, WY and 64 miles East of Jackson Hole Airport. The cabins have easy access to US Hwy 26 and have panoramic views of the Absaroka Mountains and Wind River.

The location of these cabins allow for a head start in getting to Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park or Jackson Hole. The back of the property has direct access to 2.4 million acres of Shoshone National Forest, a playground for UTV/Snowmobiling, Horseback Riding and hiking. In short, this area is of such raw beauty that some hikers, fisherman, painters and photographers are known to have made this area their home. Enjoy the outdoor area with a mountain backdrop, close your eyes, feel the presence of the fresh mountain air and sun on your face and relax, or go out into the wilderness and play your heart out. Nature doesn’t come much more breathtaking as in Yellowstone’s backyard.

There are 3 separate cabins located on the property, Moose Cabin, Grizzly Cabin and Deer Cabin. They are spaced apart to allow for privacy yet close enough to allow for larger groups to spread out. A central parking area allows for easy parking for UTV/Snowmobile trailers. There are corals available for your horses as well. Each cabin has a full bathroom, full kitchen, two bedrooms and a private hot tub. The Moose Cabin offers a heated garage.

Union Pass Cabins

Union Pass is a historic mountain pass positioned on the Continental Divide between the Wind River, Absaroka and Gros Ventre Ranges of the Rocky Mountains. Easily reached by a good-quality gravel road about 7 miles west of Dubois, WY. The cabins are located just 4 miles up the mountain adjacent to the Shoshone National Forest. This pass connects Dubois, WY to Cora/Pinedale, WY and offers over 1300 miles of trails for your off-road adventures. Ride your UTV/Snowmobiles right from the cabins. Or enjoy your days relaxing by the cabin enjoying the warm sunshine and fresh mountain air on your face and panoramic mountain views and wildlife wandering about.

This friendly mountain community includes two restaurants, Crooked Creek Lodge and Lineshack Lodge. Union Pass Rentals is located at the shop of the Lineshack Lodge and offers UTV/Side-by-side and snowmobile tours and rentals. They also have some convenience store items including fuel, oil, trail permits, parts, snacks, beverages, ice, and gear. These businesses operate seasonally and may be closed during “off” season, please contact them for their dates and hours of operation. Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are only 50 miles away from the cabins. Jackson Hole airport is 73 miles away.

If you enjoy a bit of history, Union Pass was home to Tie Hacks and their families. They cut railroad ties by hand during the winter and floated the ties down the flumes and rivers during the spring run-off to lower towns. This area was also used for a few years during World War II as German and Austrian Prisoner of War camps (POW). As you explore you can still visit remnants of camps, cabins, dams and flumes used during this time. The Dubois Museum has more information if you are interested. The cabins here range from rustic log cabins to new build lodges that will equal your sense of adventure.
